About Mr. & Mrs. George & Seretha Tinsley
George and Seretha Tinsley are a dynamic team whose leadership, business acumen, and dedication to service have transformed their community. For over 47 years, they have worked side by side—building successful businesses, mentoring young leaders, and giving back through countless philanthropic initiatives.
Seretha S. Tinsley has dedicated her life to breaking barriers and creating opportunities for others. In 1971, she made history as the first African American woman to graduate from Kentucky Wesleyan College. She later became one of the first Black female General Managers in radio and, in 2008, the first African American President of the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She co-founded Chain of Lakes Achievers, Inc. (COLA), an achievement center devoted to mentoring youth in leadership and life skills, and continues to be a national leader in education, business, and advocacy.
Alongside his wife, George Tinsley has built an extraordinary career in business while ensuring that success is shared with the community. As CEO of Tinsley Family Concessions, Inc., he has led major restaurant and bar operations at airports across Florida and Kentucky, including Tampa, Miami, and Louisville. Their business empire extends to PenGeo, Inc., a KFC franchise group, and continues to expand into new opportunities.
Yet, for the Tinsleys, leadership is about more than business—it’s about lifting others up. Their impact extends far beyond their enterprises, with a deep commitment to mentorship, education, and philanthropy.
