1. PROGRAM MISSION & COMMITMENT
Filling The Lane (FTL) is a student-athlete development program focused on academics first, character, discipline, leadership, community service, and college preparation, using basketball as a vehicle for opportunity. FTL is not a recreational program. Participation requires a full commitment from both the athlete and the family.
2. FINANCIAL OBLIGATION & PAYMENT TERMS
Program Fees
Initial Program Fee: $710.00
Due at Registration: $300.00 (NON-REFUNDABLE)
Remaining Balance: Paid through an approved automatic payment plan
Program Fees DO NOT INCLUDE
Tournament and league registration fees
Circuit fees (including LIVE periods when applicable)
Coaching, training, and player development
Team administration and operations
Insurance and program overhead
Program Fees DO NOT INCLUDE
Uniform packages (game, practice, travel gear)
Travel planning and deposits
Hotels, flights, vans, meals, and travel-related expenses
Optional gear or merchandise
3. PAYMENTS, COLLECTIONS & FINANCIAL ENFORCEMENT
All fees are legally binding financial obligations
Payments are processed via automatic draft (ACH or credit/debit card)
Failed or returned payments must be resolved within 5 business days
Accounts 30+ days delinquent may be sent to collections
Parents/guardians are responsible for all collection and legal fees
NO refunds will be issued for injury, dismissal, withdrawal, missed events, or playing time
4. ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS (MANDATORY)
FTL is an academics-first program.
Athletes MUST:
Participate in mandatory tutoring
Maintain academic eligibility
Submit grades when requested
Participate in college-prep and academic support programming
Failure to meet academic expectations may result in reduced playing time, suspension, or removal from the program.
5. PRACTICE ATTENDANCE POLICY
Attendance Consequences:
3 missed practices: warning and/or reduced playing time
5 or more missed practices: suspension, travel removal, or dismissal

LIVE Period Events (HS | Grades 9–12)
May 15–17 – Atlanta, GA (LIVE)
July 9–12 – Elite 32 – Cumming, GA (LIVE)
July 16–19 – Power 23 – Cartersville, GA (LIVE)
Summer Travel
July 3–5 – Gainesville, FL (HS/MS)
July 23–26 – Florida Finals (HS/MS)
Attendance is mandatory. Travel expenses are billed separately.
7. FUNDRAISING, COMMUNITY SERVICE & MANDATORY PROGRAM EVENTS
Voices: “Music For A Cause”
Mandatory participation for ALL members
Event setup, event-day duties, and breakdown required
Each family MUST sell or purchase two (2) tickets
Essence of a Woman — Community Service Event
Family Lake Day (June) – Mandatory
Scholarship Banquet (Late June) – Mandatory
Failure to attend mandatory events may impact playing time, travel eligibility, or roster status.
8. OUTSIDE AAU PARTICIPATION
Allowed ONLY outside FTL dates
Prior approval required from FTL coach
FTL gear MUST be worn at all times when not on the court
Violations may result in disciplinary action
9. GYM ENTRY, DRESS CODE & ZERO-TOLERANCE CONDUCT
Athletes MUST enter and exit gyms in FTL-issued attire
This rule is NOT optional
Fighting or physical altercations result in AUTOMATIC SUSPENSION
Possible dismissal
NO refunds issued
10. PARENT TRAVEL & SUPPORT EXPECTATIONS
Parents are expected to attend out-of-town tournaments
FTL may require attendance at two (2) out-of-town trips minimum
Coaches are responsible for on-court coaching only
Transportation and supervision are a family/team responsibility
11. PLAYING TIME POLICY
Playing time is NOT guaranteed and is earned based on:
Effort and attitude
Attendance
Academic compliance
Team needs
Coach evaluation
12. MEDIA & PUBLICITY RELEASE
Parents/guardians grant FTL permission to use athlete photos and videos for promotion, recruiting, and marketing.
13. MEDICAL & LIABILITY ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Parents acknowledge inherent risk in athletic participation and authorize emergency medical treatment.Medical information is submitted via a separate confidential medical addendum.
14. SCHOOL & COUNSELOR INFORMATION
Parents must provide school name and guidance counselor contact information and authorize academic communication.
15. ASSUMPTION OF RISK & WAIVER OF LIABILITY
Parents and athletes voluntarily assume all risks and release Filling The Lane, its staff, partners, and facilities from liability except as covered by insurance.
16. INDEMNIFICATION
Parents agree to indemnify and hold harmless FTL from claims arising from athlete or parent conduct, including legal fees.
17. SOCIAL MEDIA & PUBLIC CONDUCT POLICY
Negative or defamatory public or social media posts regarding FTL may result in suspension or dismissal without refund.
18. SCHOLARSHIP & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE DISCLAIMER
Scholarships are conditional, not guaranteed from year to year, and are subject to revocation. Fundraising requirements still apply.
19. PARTNER SCHOLARSHIP & FUND USAGE POLICY
All partner- or donor-funded scholarships:
Are awarded to Filling The Lane, not the athlete
Remain with FTL if the athlete withdraws or is dismissed
Are non-transferable and non-refundable
Require full compliance with all FTL policies
20. FORCE MAJEURE / EVENT CANCELLATIONS
FTL is not responsible for cancellations due to weather, travel disruptions, health emergencies, or events beyond its control. No refunds apply.
21. ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE & ONLINE AGREEMENT
Electronic signatures and online submissions are legally binding.
22. FINAL AUTHORITY
FTL reserves final authority over interpretation, enforcement, discipline, and participation decisions. Exceptions must be approved in writing by the Executive Director.
23. PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION
Payment information (ACH or credit/debit) is collected through FTL’s secure payment platform.
24. AGREEMENT & SIGNATURES
By signing, the parent/guardian and athlete acknowledge and agree to ALL terms above.
