At the heart of Filling The Lane is a dedicated team of coaches who serve not only as athletic mentors but as life guides, role models, and community builders. These coaches go beyond the game, instilling discipline, integrity, and teamwork in every athlete they reach. Their leadership and commitment shape the character of our youth, helping them grow into confident, responsible individuals both on and off the court.

The importance of our coaches cannot be overstated. They are the backbone of our program—motivating, teaching, and inspiring young athletes to reach their fullest potential. Their influence creates a ripple effect that extends into families, schools, and neighborhoods, building stronger communities through sports and mentorship.

Jean Kneely

3rd Grade Coach

For as long as he can remember, sports have been a defining part of Jean Kneely’s life. From his early years in elementary school, he understood that hard work, dedication, and patience were the keys not only to success in sports but also in life. Kneely has been a teacher in the Polk County School District since 2022, but his impact on youth development began long before that. Prior to transitioning to Central Florida, he dedicated over a decade to working with the YMCA of South Florida (2011-2022), where he played a vital role in creating academic and enrichment programs for young people. His passion for helping youth develop into well-rounded, consistent individuals made his work both meaningful and rewarding. With over 15 years of coaching experience, Kneely has trained and mentored young athletes at various levels. His coaching career began in 2003 as an assistant coach for junior varsity at South Broward High School. Soon after, he transitioned to working with at-risk youth at a local community center in Hollywood, Florida, using basketball as a tool for personal growth and empowerment. In 2009, he co-founded BEASTMODE Athletics INC., where he coached travel youth basketball and successfully led teams in AAU, YBOA, USBA, and USSSA tournaments. As a head coach, his teams—ranging from 3rd grade (9U) to 6th grade (12U)—have competed and won tournaments across the country, traveling to Miami, Orlando, Georgia, Philadelphia, Texas, and Virginia. Throughout his coaching career, Kneely has built his philosophy around the principle of "outworking the competition." He takes pride in developing young athletes by focusing on basketball fundamentals, increasing their basketball IQ, and fostering a culture of brotherhood rooted in discipline and work ethic. Now, as the 3rd Grade Coach for Filling The Lane, Kneely continues his mission to shape the next generation of players—instilling values that go beyond the court and preparing them for success in all areas of life.

Kelvin E. Roberson Jr.

8th Grade Coach

Kelvin E. Roberson Jr. was born in Tampa, Florida, but raised in Winter Haven, where his passion for basketball took root at the young age of five. Introduced to the sport by his mother, basketball quickly became a transformative force in his life. As he grew, he honed his skills playing AAU basketball for Florida Elite, Team STAT, and Polk Elite, competing at a high level and developing a deep love for the game. A proud member of the Class of 2012 at Lake Region High School, Roberson was a four-year varsity letterman and starter, helping lead his team to a district championship. His dedication and talent on the court earned him opportunities beyond high school, and he went on to attend Santa Fe College, where he majored in Athletic Management. While there, he walked on to the basketball team for one year before stepping into a new chapter of life with the birth of his first son. Now back in Polk County, Roberson is a devoted father of four and has developed a deep passion for giving back to the community. His mission is to help young athletes reach their full potential, both mentally and physically, as they prepare for the next level of competition and life. As the 8th-grade coach for Filling The Lane, he is committed to instilling discipline, resilience, and a strong work ethic in his players, ensuring they are prepared for challenges on and off the court. Roberson firmly believes in shaping the future through action, reminding his players: "There is no better way to predict the future than by creating it yourself."

Will Vidot

10th Grade Coach

Will Vidot was born and raised in Kissimmee, Florida, where he developed a deep love for basketball by watching and learning from his older cousins. His dedication to the game quickly turned him into a standout player, earning numerous accolades throughout his high school career. Among his achievements, he became a regional champion, a two-time district champion, and a state runner-up. His exceptional talent and leadership on the court also earned him recognition as a First-Team All-County player, drawing interest from multiple college programs. Following high school, Vidot pursued his basketball dreams at Riverland Community College. However, due to unforeseen family circumstances, he had to return home after just a few months, putting his collegiate playing career on hold. Despite this setback, he remained committed to the game and found new ways to stay involved in basketball. Now residing in Orlando, Vidot is a devoted father to two daughters and one son. His passion for basketball has evolved into a mission to guide and mentor young athletes. As a 10th-grade coach for Filling The Lane, he is dedicated to helping young men grow both on and off the court, instilling in them the values of hard work, discipline, and education. He firmly believes that basketball can be a powerful tool to keep kids on the right path, open doors to greater opportunities, and positively impact their futures. Through coaching, he is committed to shaping the next generation, ensuring they understand that both sports and academics can lead them toward success.

Brandon-Luis Felipe Delvalle

10th Grade Coach

Brandon-Luis Felipe Delvalle was born in New York but relocated to Florida at the age of seven in pursuit of a better environment, free from negative influences. Upon his arrival, he quickly developed a passion for basketball, a sport that would shape his life and career. Raised in Kissimmee, FL, he excelled on the court, earning multiple accolades as a standout athlete. His accomplishments include becoming a regional champion, a two-time district champion, and a state runner-up. His talent and dedication also earned him recognition as a First-Team All-County player. Following his success in high school, Delvalle continued his basketball journey at Riverland Community College, where he made an immediate impact, earning First-Team All-Freshman honors. He later transferred to Catonsville Community College, further honing his skills and expanding his experience in collegiate basketball. Now based in Orlando, Delvalle is a proud father of three and has dedicated his life to coaching and mentoring young athletes. As a 10th-grade coach for Filling The Lane, he works tirelessly to guide and develop at-risk youth, using basketball as a tool to teach discipline, teamwork, and resilience. His mission is to help the next generation navigate challenges, both on and off the court, by instilling strong values and providing opportunities for success.

Kimar “Coach K” Harriott

12th Grade Coach

Known to his players as Coach K, Kimar Harriott has had a remarkable journey through the world of sports. Initially raised to be a football player, his path took a dramatic turn when he spent time with his grandmother in New York—the Mecca of Basketball. It was there that he fell in love with the game, ultimately leaving football behind to pursue basketball with passion and determination. Harriott’s playing career took off in eighth grade, and he continued to develop his skills throughout his freshman year and all four years at Haines City High School. After high school, he spent a year at prep school before receiving a life-changing opportunity: a call from an agent offering him the chance to play professional basketball at an early stage in his career. Over the next seven years, he competed at the professional level, playing for multiple teams across different countries and gaining invaluable experience on the court. After securing back-to-back championships to close out his professional career, Harriott transitioned into coaching, where he found a new way to impact the game. Over the past four years, he has been coaching at Haines City High School, developing young athletes and instilling in them the same passion and discipline that defined his own career. Additionally, for the last two years, he has been an integral part of Filling The Lane’s AAU program, helping shape the next generation of basketball talent. Now serving as the 12th Grade Coach for Filling The Lane, Coach K is committed to preparing his players for the next level—whether that be college basketball, professional opportunities, or life beyond sports. His coaching philosophy is centered around teamwork, fundamentals, and defense—three pillars that he believes are essential for success both on and off the court. With four years of high school experience, one year at the prep/JUCO level, seven years as a pro, and four years as a coach, he brings a wealth of knowledge, discipline, and a championship mindset to every player he mentors. His mission is to develop athletes into strong, well-rounded individuals, preparing them not only for the game but for life itself.
